Community Forests International’s Executive Director Jeff Schnurr has been nominated for the CBC’s ‘Champion for Change’ program set to air November 15th 8pm ET, and with the help of people all across Canada he could potentially win $25.000 for the charity of his choice.
Community Forests International is a Sackville-based, international non-profit organization that connects people to the forest, fostering sustainable environmental relationships while strengthening communities against climate change.
Driven by farmers, foresters, and their rural communities, CFI’s programming spans the globe: planting trees with rural villages in Pemba, connecting environmentally-minded youth in India, Tanzania and Canada, and promoting ecological forestry in Atlantic Canada.
The winner will be decided by public vote so be sure to tune in and cast your ballot to support Jeff and CFI.
